Habitat McHenry Homes
New Home Construction and Existing Home Renovation
Habitat for Humanity of McHenry County (HFHMC) builds new homes and renovates existing homes that have fallen into disrepair or have been abandoned. The average new construction HFHMC home is approximately 1,100 square feet and has three bedrooms. Depending on the size of the home buying family, our homes may be larger or smaller.
HFHMC Home Basics
Typically, HFHMC homes have a living room, kitchen and one bathroom in addition to the three bedrooms. The home is built on an unfinished crawl space in new construction homes. All of our homes have maintenance-free siding, a garage, and a landscaped yard so that kids can play.
