Habitat for Humanity of McHenry County (HFHMC) brings people together to create and preserve homeownership in our neighborhoods, to partner with hard-working, low-income families to be successful homeowners, and to inspire action that promotes affordable housing for everyone in our community. We have opportunities for thousands of people and organizations to take action.
Whether it’s donating your time by volunteering, making a financial gift, or becoming an advocate for affordable housing, we invite you to join HFHMC in the fight against poverty housing and homelessness in McHenry County:
HFHMC relies on thousands of volunteers every year to carry out our mission – be a part of stabilizing housing for hundreds of McHenry County families each year! Volunteers are needed to help with everything from construction to helping families settle into their new homes. Find the volunteer opportunity that is right for you!
Your financial support is critical in helping us build, rehab or repair homes across McHenry County. With your donation, HFHMC will reach exponentially more families and help restore neighborhoods affected by the foreclosure crisis.
HFHMC strives to both change the systems that lead to poverty housing and build communities where everyone can afford to live. To that end we work to educate policy makers and change public opinion about affordable housing. There are many ways for you to get involved!
HFHMC and its partner families benefit in many ways from your sponsorship. We know that your group will be enriched by the experience of supporting a low-income family in the construction of a new home or in the preservation of an existing home.
