The goal of Youth United is to build  homes for  McHenry County residents.

What has to be done?

  • Raising Funds - it takes over $100,000 in cash and donated materials to build a Habitat Home.
  • Volunteers are needed to build the home, raise the money, and give support to the project.
  • Youth over the age of 16 can work on the building of the home.
  • Youth under the age of 16 due to safety and building regulations can assist by working at raising funds and generating public awareness regarding the house.  These young volunteers can assist by building birdhouses, planter boxes and other age appropriate projects to help.
